I started Bloum with the goal to give you salon quality hair care in a sustainable format.

Sustainability means products that can return to the environment after use. Our formulas are readily biodegradable and free of micro-plastics and forever chemicals. The solid format allows us to skip the plastic bottle, reduce transport emissions, and lessen the need for fresh water in production.

With Bloum you can achieve your hair goals, what ever they are. Our bars are adjusted to your hair type so that you get more out of your washing routine.

Plastic-free means more than just bottle-free

Let's break it down

The bottle: Everyday, about 1.5 million shampoo bottles end up in landfills. Plastic packaging consumption directly contributes to micro-plastic pollution. As plastic degrades over 20-500 years, it never fully disappears, it just gets smaller and smaller. That is one gigantic source of micro-plastics.

The formula: Many haircare products contains micro-plastics in the form of silicones or other polymer. Once consumed, these chemicals are released in water-ways and into our eco-system. As with plastic packaging, silicones never fully biodegrade and are a key source of micro-plastic pollution.

We found a way to deliver salon quality haircare without plastics. No plastic packaging, no micro-plastic in our formula. We only use ingredients that are readily biodegradable. Our philosophy is, if it cannot return to earth, we should not use it. It's that simple, and this is how it should be.
