To keep your bar from absorbing water and to prolong its life, keep it dry in between washes. To do so you can use a soap dish, a storage bag, or a travel case. 

One Bloum shampoo bar lasts 2.5 to 3.5 months or 40 washes. The Bloum conditioner bar lasts about 3 to 4 months or 50 washes.

This is an average and will vary based on your hair lenght, thickness and washing frequency.

Bloum solid conditioner is a powerful bar highly concentrated in actives. In order to work its magic on your hair, it needs a lot of water. Most of the time, if your hair feels waxy or heavy after using a conditioner, it is because the product was not rinsed enough. Next time you wash your hair, rinse for an extra 30 seconds and this should fix it!

Silicones are polymers used in hair care to protect, reduce friction, eliminate frizz and detangle hair.It would be a fantastic ingredient, if not for its potential hair accumulation and horrible environmental profile. Specifically, water-insoluble silicones are harder to remove from the hair and require harsher, sulfate based shampoo. Excessive use of sulfate based shampoo can damage the cuticles and make hair feel dry. Sadly, most silicones used in hair care are not biodegradable. Because of it's heat-resistant nature, silicone takes a very long time to degrade and is therefore considered bio-accumulative.

Luckily, plant-based alternatives exists! This is what we are using in all our products. Once you are done washing your hair, the product goes down the drain and will fully breakdown. No bio-accumulation! No micro-plastics!
